How can we improve DiffNow?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.

    thanks for the tool

    when i add russian text it doesn't display it properly but puts wierd symbols instead

    would be cool if it worked with russian text

  2. Frequently facing "Text fragment upload failed" error

    App is working some times and not working some times. Please make it consistent. Its really very good app.

  3. It shows differences even they are spaces , that I dont see

    First, I like your tool. great.!
    second, It gives me differences , althought, they ar not there L
    I used all options ignoring all white spaces.
    and it did not help
    I was comparing html files.

  4. The site is totally broken, please fix asap

    I used the compare tool once, now it cannot compare anything different. Doesn't work. -- I enter a new set of text to compare and it still displays the old text. For example, even though I type in something simple like 'hello' on one panel and 'hello world' on the other, it still displays the whole chunk of text I entered the previous time.

  5. Close button on the options window

    When I clicked on options in an up-to-date version of Firefox there was no way to close it (no X, ESC didn't work)

  6. It could be usefull to add some filters

    I think that it coul be usefull to add the possibility to filter some words or string. Exsample I dont wont compare some specific words or I wont skik all word included in parenthesis or writed in italics.

  8. change the colors of 'added' and 'deleted'

    all u got to do is SWAP the colors of 'added' and 'deleted' around, cause if its a little bit confusing to see something added in red. things that are 'deleted' should be in red

    well that's my personal preference, maybe others will feel the same.

  10. Issue with IE

    IE stops working while uploading the files for comparing. It happens very frequently. Please fix this. It works very well with Chrome. Am using IE8 on Window7.

  18. when comparing spreadsheets, compare format should match

    when i was comparing spreadsheets, the compare window display format should match. Now, the compare results show quotes around table field values and looks messy and hard to view.
