How can we improve DiffNow?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

    Not having delete/rename of saved reports is a problem though...

    We can’t change the encoding of uploaded files. However, DiffNow does have full Unicode support. If you wish to compare files with Cyrillic characters, you can compare them as Unicode files.

  7. Do you have Chinese supporting version ?

    No need to install DiffNow Client as I used to during the WinXP era.
    Very handy debugging tool in SalesForce development.

    there are operators '+=' in the first block, but I see just ' =' in comparing result

  15. Make the comparison boxes bigger

    By comparison boxes, I mean the area where you can see the contents of the two files side by side. Make the combined width equal to the window width.

    And/or have a fullscreen viewing mode.

  16. Ignore line numbers of text selection and copy

    I've just completed a diff and I'm wanting to copy them from the diff view and paste them in my original, local docs.

    Because of the line numbers I can't select blocks and paste them without a lot of post-editing...

  17. Raise the Upload cap to 1 MB?

    Raising the file size cap to 1 MB would allow me a lot more freedom and save me some time. Otherwise everything is great.

    Would be nice to have a reset or clear button on the fragment compare. Would empty the fragment boxes so that you could start a new compare.
